A Love for Garfagnana
Deep Roots:
A Bond That Defeats Oblivion
Our family's history is inextricably linked to Garfagnana, a land of rare beauty and fierce resistance. It all began in the post-war period, a crucial period when our villages of Capanne di Careggine and the nearby mountain village faced the drama of constant and inexorable depopulation.
Despite the difficulties, our family chose to stay, driven by a deep connection to their land and the firm belief that a future could be built here. Thus our first small shop was born: a true mountain outpost, a meeting point and vital resource for the few locals. For years, we offered hot coffee and a place to relax, cultivating a community atmosphere that defied isolation and hardship. Consider that until the 1980s, it took a full 20 minutes to walk to the main road! But neither our commitment nor our passion for hospitality has ever waned.
The Transformation:
from a simple mountain shop to a resort
With the arrival of the new road, our commitment amplified. The small shop evolved, transforming into a panoramic restaurant that welcomed the first mountain lovers and travelers. But our vision was bigger: to invest concretely in the recovery and enhancement of the area.
It is in this spirit that we purchased a large part of the village of Salceta, a charming cluster of houses characterized by typical stone roofs. With great respect for the environment and local tradition, we transformed it into what you see today: our Albergo Diffuso. This project is a virtuous example of building renovation that fully reflects our ecological spirit and our dedication to sustainability.

Your Refuge in the Apuan Alps Park
Today, our village has become a romantic tourist village, your exclusive retreat in the heart of the Apuan Alps Regional Natural Park.
We haven't forgotten our roots: every corner, every detail of the hotel speaks of the love our family has had for this land for generations. We continue to run our business with the same commitment, dedication, and passion as ever. Our desire is to offer you an authentic and unique hospitality experience in one of the most enchanting places in Tuscany, making you feel part of this wonderful history.
